KAMIL KUBIK
An impressionist painter, born in Czechoslovakia, studied in Prague, London, Australia, San Francisco and New York. He has painted on every continent and is best known for his cityscapes and magnificent florals. He spends most of his time in the New York area, Washington, D.C. and Paris painting directly from nature.
Kubik has been the official artist for several U.S. golf and tennis tournaments. His work has appeared on the covers of M.D. Magazine, Reader's Digest and Avenue Magazine. He did a book, "Cityscapes", for the Grumbacher Company translating his artistic perception into city scenes that radiate life. Kubik's pastel of Carnegie Hall was used as the first American poster in China and was presented by Isaac Stern to the foreign minister of the People's Republic of China. He was commissioned to do the paintings for the Breaker Hotel, Ritz Carlton Hotel Company and the Greenbrier Country Club.
